“THE BERNIE MAC PROJECT”
Laura Weiner is casting the lead role in the upcoming feature film “The Bernie Mac Project.” Casting seeks a male lead to portray the celebrated, late comedian. Filming begins this summer in Los Angeles, and pays a guaranteed $5,000.
“LOCKWOOD”
Jonathan Buckhouse and Stacee Myers are casting a new television series called “Lockwood,” which focuses on a group of high schoolers who discover a dark secret hidden in their town. The group forms an unlikely alliance in order to protect themselves. Casting seeks several lead and supporting roles for the series, including leading roles for males and females, and additional supporting roles. “Lockwood” shoots at the end of July in L.A. Pay is yet to be determined, but talent must be able to self report to L.A. as travel expenses will not be provided. Producers plan to apply for the SAG-AFTRA contract/agreement.
SOLAR COMMERCIALS
Executive producer Jennifer Duncan is casting two different branded content spots in conjunction with a solar power company. Casting seeks an everyday male to portray Dad (ages 30–40), an active and warm female to play Mom (27–40), and a male child (6–9) to play a Little Boy, who can hit a baseball with a bat. The commercial is also looking for more day players ranging from women (71+) to two or three more children (3–10) for non-speaking roles. The commercial shoots May 18–20 in the L.A. area. The gig pays a stipend, plus meals are provided. Auditions are May 7 in Studio City, California.
