Film and TV work are not hard to come by in California. Check out these three audition opportunities, including one to play a henchman!
“UNDERGROUND”
THIRTY90NE is casting the feature film “Underground,” a gritty, modern-day drama about a young man who becomes entrenched in the dark world of underground boxing. Casting seeks two leads, including a role for one male and one female. There are additional supporting roles left to cast as well. The film rehearses this spring in L.A. and shoots in Iowa over the summer. Film pays $250 (flat fee), plus travel and a back-end percentage between 1.5–4 percent. There is nudity present in the film and may be required.
UNTITLED ADVENTURE SHOW
Casting director Lindsay Spaulding seeks background actors for an untitled adventure show shooting Feb. 5–8 at the beach, while driving around L.A., and in downtown L.A. or Hollywood. Talent must be available for at least one of the days. Let casting know if you are available for multiple shoots. Pays $150/day.
“STINGER”
Producer Kyle Nolan and director Brian Lipko are casting their short film, “Stinger,” which centers on a creative boy who invents something powerful beyond his control just before he finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Creatives are seeking to cast the male lead (ages 8–15), as well as three supporting roles: Henchman 1, Henchman 2, and Witness. Pay is $500 for the lead, $300 for Henchman 1, $200 for Henchman 2, and $100 for Witness, but is negotiable. Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin mid-March and run through April for an early June shoot in Palmdale, California.
