Asking casting for an agent referral?
“Has anyone had luck with asking a reputable CD to recommend an agent? I am looking to find new representation, and was hoping to email some CDs that I have either been brought in numerous times, or some that have actually cast me. Has anyone tried this, and have you had luck? I’m always reluctant to reach out to CDs and put them on the spot, but I wonder if it is ok if I already have a relationship. Thanks.” —Rickyroad
Do casting directors ever look at headshot drop-offs?
“So I’m nonunion and have been going to many EPAs lately. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten the chance to be seen. But, I’ve been able to leave my headshot/résumé with the monitor each time. Do the casting offices ever look at the headshots/résumés that are dropped off?” —theaterperson876
