“The Tricycle”

If you can play a man between the ages of 20 and 60, this production of a classic absurdist play might be the right fit for you. London-based Spanish theatre company Bright South is casting for their production of “The Tricycle,” translated and directed by Jesús Chavero.

The story features four marginalised characters who are looking for their place in a system that left them out as three teenagers and an old many try to survive a hostile, unintelligible and alienating world.

“The Tricycle” is the first play published by Fernando Arrabal. Written in 1952, it’s a comic tale of poverty and murder in which the author questions the limits of freedom and the consequences of a society in which children have to commit sinister acts to survive. You can read more about the project and company on their website.

Apply here before Oct. 24!
