Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

Short film “Ageism” follows Oliver, a twentysomething who meets Elizabeth on a dating app. But Elizabeth might not be the age she claims.

Female roles available include Elizabeth, aged 30–37, an 85-year-old with the appearance of a thirtysomething. She’s sophisticated, well-spoken, and old-fashioned. Sarah is a supporting role for an actor, aged 19–24. She’s a shy, young woman working in a shop.

Male roles include the shy and skinny Oliver, aged 21–26, who struggles with social situations. Simon is a supporting role for actors, aged 21–25. He is an aspiring musical theater actor working in a bar. For the role of Simon, check out the additional instructions for what to include in the application.

The shoot will take place in London in April, and all roles are paid.

Head over to the casting notice here and apply before the April 14 deadline.
