Hello and welcome to one of our shoutouts for projects casting around the U.K. As always there’s a mix of opportunities for all ages, abilities, and locations but do remember to check if you fit the bill before applying. Although we make every attempt to verify castings before we hit publish, please ensure that you do your own research before firing off those headshots and Backstage links.

Micro-budget series “Julia” is a thriller exploring the lives of young people in contemporary multicultural London. It’s got a dark sense of humour and a range of parts available.

For the ladies, there’s Bo, a tough girl who always wants the last word, for an actor, aged 22–30. The role is for Black and mixed ethnicity actors only and although a South African accent is preferred it’s not essential. Next, there’s G-Ma, an authority figure and businesswoman for a female actor, aged 60–80.

For the guys, check out Cephus and Juan, two ruthless drug dealers for actors, aged 22–27 and 30–40, respectively.

Rehearsals begin in early February and filming is in March in London. Shoot times vary, and some of the shoots will take around 15 days. Pay is TBD, to be discussed upon application.
