Long, Q Join Team for Fourth 'Die Hard'

Justin Long and Maggie Q are coming aboard "Live Free or Die Hard," 20th Century Fox's fourth installment of the "Die Hard" series. Len Wiseman is directing.

Bruce Willis is reprising his role as John McClane. The story centers on an attack on the U.S.' computer infrastructure that begins to shut the country down. The mysterious figure behind the scheme has figured out every digital angle but never counts on an old-fashioned "analog" McClane.

Long will play a smart, younger guy who assists McClane. Q will play a world-class hacker at odds with McClane. Production begins this month.

Mark Bomback and Doug Richardson penned the screenplay. Arnold Rifkin is producing.

Long, who appears in the popular Apple Computer ads as the Mac, most recently starred in Universal Pictures' "Accepted" and will voice the lead character in the studio's animated film "The Tale of Despereaux" that also includes Dustin Hoffman and William H. Macy. Long is repped by UTA and attorney Kevin Yorn.

Asian film star Q might best be known for being a team member of Tom Cruise's spy unit in "Mission: Impossible III." She next appears in the Rogue/Spyglass comedy "Balls of Fury," with Christopher Walken and Dan Fogler, scheduled for release in January. Q is repped by CAA, Echelon Talent Management and Broder Law Group.
