Why You Can’t Look for a Casting Director’s Validation After an Audition

Casting directors tend to play it cool in the audition room, whether you killed it or bombed. That’s likely just out of politeness to others auditioning and because they don’t want to fill you with embarrassment or false hope. At the end of the day, you should just find validation in yourself for how an audition went; you’re the one that truly knows! Below, acting coach and Backstage Expert Mel Mack explains why that’s the case.
