L.A. Casting: Play a Lead Role on the Thriller Series ‘Devil’s Hand’ + More Gigs

In today’s top Los Angeles-based gigs “Devil’s Hand,” a six-episode series, is casting lead roles. Plus, two short films need lead and supporting talent.

“DEVIL’S HAND”
Academy Films is casting talent for “Devil’s Hand,” a six-episode new media production. Talent, aged 27–66, is wanted to play four agents in the series including Special Agent Reynolds, the man tasked with finding out the truth of what happened on a school trip that went wrong and had tragic consequences for the students involved. Filming will take place in mid-May over four days in L.A. Actors will be paid through a SAG New Media contract. Apply here!

“LLOYD”
Join the cast of “Lloyd,” a short film that centers on a town reeling from a racially-charged workers’ strike. Black actors, aged 40–65, are wanted for two supporting roles while white talent, aged 45–60, is wanted for another supporting role. Rehearsals will take place this spring in L.A. and San Diego, California, followed by filming in July. Actors will be paid SAG rates with screen credit, a digital copy of the film, and meals provided. Apply here!

“SHOW MERCY”
Casting is underway for “Show Mercy,” a proof-of-concept short film. A female actor, aged 16–22, is wanted to play the lead role of Mercy, a young girl who was taken from her family at a young age and forced to live in an apartment-turned-prison. There is also a lead role for a white male actor, aged 45–65. Filming will take place on May 15 with a table read the week prior in Glendale, California. Pay is $125 per day with meals provided.
