Hey, Los Angeles actors! Stay in the loop and be sure to check back every week for projects currently in production in the place you call home. Here’s the 411 on what’s filming big and small in your city.

“Star Trek: Picard”
Despite multiple delays, “Star Trek: Picard,” starring Sir Patrick Stewart, is boldly going into production on its second season. The CBS All Access series was supposed to begin filming on Feb. 1, according to star Jeri Ryan, after being pushed back due to the ongoing pandemic—filming for Season 2 was originally supposed to start in June 2020—but Ryan then replied to a fan on Twitter on Feb. 2 that filming had still not begun. It seems now, however, production has officially begun. On Location Vacations has filming taking place at Walt Disney Concert Hall (111 South Grand Avenue) in the city last week. Stewart received his first dose for the COVID-19 vaccine back on Jan. 22, so presumably, the production was at least in part waiting for the star to get to the other side of that second dose waiting period. In addition to Stewart and Ryan, the series stars Alison Pill, Isa Briones, Michelle Hurd, and more. A Season 2 premiere date, unsurprisingly, has yet to be announced. Liz Dean is the series casting director.
