“Firefly Lane”
Vancouver picked New York City as its Halloween costume this year as the city streets were transformed for filming on the second season of Netflix’s “Firefly Lane.” October wrapped up with production crews set up downtown with yellow cabs and bus stops adorning the city streets, as shared by Vancouver Is Awesome. Additionally, locals shared photos and videos of series stars Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke filming outside of the Vancouver Club earlier in the month. Created and showrun by Maggie Friedman and now heading into Season 2, “Firefly Lane” follows best friends Tully (Heigl) and Kate (Chalke), who “support each other through good times and bad with an unbreakable bond that carries them from their teens to their forties.” A release date for Season 2 has yet to be announced. Starring with Heigl and Chalke are Ben Lawson, Ali Skovbye, Roan Curtis, Yael Yurman, Jon-Michael Ecker, Beau Garrett, and more. Sean Cossey, J.J. Ogilvy, and Liz Dean make up the series’ casting team.
