Marvel San Diego Comic-Con Update

In addition to a trailer for the highly anticipated “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” the production giant unveiled plans for the rest of its current Phase 5 and upcoming Phase 6 at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

On the film side, Marvel announced two new films as part of Phase 6: “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” set to be released on May 5, 2025, and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” set to be released on November 8, 2025. The newly announced projects will follow “Fantastic Four” as the first three projects in Phase 6 and will be the first "Avengers" film since “Avengers: Endgame.” “Fantastic Four” will be released on November 8, 2024. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts will help the project, but no casting has been announced at this time.

Additionally, Marvel made the official announcement for “Captain America: New World Order,” set for release on May 3, 2024. Anthony Mackie will reprise his role as Sam Wilson, who has taken over the suit from Captain America after the events of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” No further casting (including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes) has been announced at this time. “Cloverfield Paradox” director Julius Onah will helm the movie with “Falcon and the Winter Soldier” writers Malcolm Spellman and staff writer Dalan Musson set to pen the script.

Over on the television side, Marvel revealed a return for “Daredevil” with “Daredevil: Born Again.” Charlie Cox will return to star as the lawyer-slash-superhero Matt Murdock, who initially appeared on the screen in the titular Netflix series. “Daredevil: Born Again” will get 18 episodes set to arrive on Disney+ in Spring 2024. In the meanwhile, Cox will reprise his role in the upcoming “Hawkeye” spinoff series “Echo.”

While all of these projects have some time before they arrive on screens, Marvel is casting multiple projects at the moment—including the aforementioned “Echo” and “Madame Web.” Head over to the casting notices to apply now.
