Everybody wants more “Nobody Wants This,” starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, and thankfully, this month, the hit Netflix series returns! Season 2 of the rom-com, which centers on the unlikely relationship between a sex podcaster and a rabbi, will be released on the platform on Oct. 23. To celebrate the show’s return, here are the best romantic comedy gigs that are casting now!

Untitled Short Film

Casting is underway for a short romantic comedy about a lost mid-twenties Indian American woman who falls hard for a young Amish man during Rumspringa and must convince her family to let her join the Amish church or risk losing her first love. A white male actor, age 40–60, is wanted to play the supporting role of Eli, the father of the co-lead. Talent must either have a long beard or be able to grow one, or wear a fake beard and speak with an Amish accent. Filming is scheduled for the last two weeks of October in and around Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Pay is $600–$750 for three days of work.

“Hate You So Good”

Hate You So Good,” a short enemies-to-lovers lesbian volleyball-themed rom-com, is seeking four female actors, aged 18–25, for lead and supporting roles. Filming will take place in Spring 2026 in Austin, Texas, and its surrounding areas. Pay is $100–$500 for 3–5 days of work with meals and local travel expenses provided.

“You Owe Me”

No Compromise Pictures is seeking talent for “You Owe Me,” a short romantic comedy about two strangers who, after a steamy night together, realize they both think the other is the escort, and neither plans to pay the invoice. A Latina actor, age 26–36, is wanted to play the co-lead role of Molly. Talent must speak Spanish. Filming will take place in Los Angeles with flexible dates. Pay is $400 for two days of work with meals/snacks provided.

“But What If”

Join the cast of “But What If,” a romantic comedy about all the what-ifs that come with getting married. Two actors, aged 25–35, are wanted for the lead roles of Sophia and Tom. Filming will take place in November in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area. Pay is $150 per day for four days of work.

“This Joke’s On You”

Stoop Films & Production is casting actors for “This Joke’s On You,” a bold, heartwarming, and hilarious romantic comedy that explores modern relationships, social media fame, and the consequences of turning love into content as a rising stand-up comic, Tammi Carter, roasts her boyfriend in a viral bit that causes her career to skyrocket but their relationship to unravel. New York City-based actors, aged 12–75, are wanted for several lead and supporting roles in the film, including Tammi. Strong comedic timing, including a stand-up or improv background, is required for talent playing Tammi and multiple other roles. Production is also hiring multiple crew positions, including a sound operator and editor, and is also seeking content creators for digital hype and more. Talent will work on Oct. 13–24 in Brooklyn and Queens. Pay is $250 per day with meals, credit, and footage provided, plus future appearance rates TBD.

“The Purest Form”

Casting is underway for “The Purest Form,” a feature coming-of-age romantic comedy. Los Angeles-based actors, aged 8 and older, are wanted for several roles in the film, including the lead roles of Nick and Casey. Additionally, production is hiring a director of photography and a production assistant. Talent will begin filming on Oct. 8 in L.A. Pay is $30–$150 per day for up to nine days of work for actors and $50–$600 per day for up to 12 days of work for crew.
