Non-Eq submissions?

“Is it legal to use scenes or monologues in auditions or acting classes? When do you need to get permission? I find books on Amazon with monologues or scenes but they all have that, ‘copyright’ and ‘all rights reserved’ warning. What about scenes from scripts in movies?
