Journey on, to this production of “Ragtime.” Union and nonunion performers are sought for a Los Angeles-area mounting of the Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens musical, and you can apply right here.

The team at Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont, California is casting male and female talent, aged 18–55, for both ensemble and principal roles. Only the roles of Tateh, Father, Grandfather, Sarah, and Willie Conklin have been cast already.

With director Greg Hinrichsen at the helm, rehearsals will begin Dec. 18. The run itself is slated Jan. 19–Feb. 24, 2018.

The Candlelight Pavilion is a nonunion house, however, it occasionally will use Equity contracts. Otherwise, talent will be paid a rehearsal stipend as well as a per-performance rate.

“Ragtime” first bowed on Broadway in 1998 and went on to win Tony Awards for book, score, and orchestrations. It saw its first Broadway revival in 2009.
