Casting is underway for a feature-length documentary from Robert De Niro, who is seeking talent to portray his child self, as well as a younger version of his father in featured background roles. Plus, a comedy/mockumentary vertical project, a product commercial for TikTok Shop, and a surrealist mythological-sci-fi art film are casting now!

Robert De Niro’s “The Past Goes Fast” Documentary

Grant Wilfley Casting is currently seeking talent for featured background roles in “The Past Goes Fast,” a feature-length documentary from Robert De Niro. Production is seeking a young male actor, age 3–5, and a male adult actor, age 20–39, to portray a child Robert De Niro and a young adult Robert De Niro, Sr., in background roles. There will be a fitting ahead of filming, which is scheduled for Nov. 3–4. Pay is $350.

“Something About Carl”

SERHANT. Studios is seeking talent for “Something About Carl,” a comedy/mockumentary vertical series about a veteran real estate agent who re-enters the modern digital sales world, joining a team of Gen Z agents obsessed with followers but struggling to close deals. NYC-based actors, aged 18–80, are wanted for various lead and supporting roles. There will be a rehearsal/table read on Nov. 7, followed by filming on Nov. 11–14. Pay is $350–$500 per day with travel compensated.

Product Commercial for E-Commerce

Two Los Angeles-based actors, one age 18–35 and one age 35–60, are wanted for a product commercial for TikTok Shop. Talent will work on Nov. 5 in the L.A. area. Pay is $200 with lunch provided.

“Zephyrus Rising”

Join the cast of “Zephyrus Rising,” a surrealist mythological-sci-fi art film re-imagining ancient mythologies of Ganymede, Narcissus, Eros, and Aphrodite. Talent, aged 6–60, is wanted for several lead and supporting roles. Filming will take place on Dec. 2–9 in NYC; Spring 2026 in the U.S., locations TBD; and Summer 2026 in Greece and China. Pay is a negotiable $150–$300 per day for up to five days of work, with all transportation and meals covered.
