Casting is underway for “What We Carry With Us,” a heartfelt coming-of-age drama set in a small Connecticut town and following Alex, a 17-year-old who inherits their late mother’s struggling diner and must choose between honoring the family legacy or pursuing their own dreams. Actors, aged 16–70, are wanted for lead and supporting roles in the film, including the protagonist Alex. Production is also hiring multiple crew roles, including hair/makeup team members and a gaffer. Filming will take place from June 12–July 3 in Fairfield and other New Haven County towns TBD. Pay is $1,000–$3,000 for actors with on-set meals and travel provided and $600–$2,400 for crew.

Casting is underway for a SAG-AFTRA rom-com feature film set in and around New York City. Two actors, aged 22–36, are wanted for the lead roles of Julia and Will. Filming will begin on or around Aug. 25 and continue throughout the fall. Pay is $1,463 per week.

Pemrick/Fronk Casting is seeking talent for “The Girl,” a feature film about a young girl in the 1970s seduced by Hollywood. A young white female actor, age 13–18, is wanted for the lead role of Sam. Talent must have dual E.U. and U.S. citizenship. Filming will take place in August in Paris, France, and then in Los Angeles. Pay is $4,180–$8,360 per week for four weeks of work.

A tech commercial following a day in a college girl’s life using her USB drive is seeking a female actor, age 18–24, for the lead role. Filming will take place on April 22–23 in San Jose. Pay is $1,500 per day.
