An upcoming Civil War feature based on a true story is casting multiple leads. Plus, a grocery store social media video, a sci-fi action feature, and a short drama are casting talent today.

“Teket”

Casting is underway for “Teket,” a drama feature story based on the true story of Teket, a Civil War soldier who, armed with letters and dreams of home, must struggle with being hunted, starvation, loneliness, and madness as he is pursued by another bounty hunter who wants only to kill him in revenge for the death of his brother. Actors, aged 18–60, are wanted for various roles, including the lead role of Teket. French Creole will be required for multiple roles, as is combat training. Additionally, production is hiring a director of photography and an editor. Filming will begin in February 2024 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Pay ranges from $600 for three days of work to $8,000 for 20 days of work.

Holiday/Party Scenes for Grocery Store Social Video

Likeable Media is seeking actors, aged 25–40, to play party scene guests in a social media video for a grocery store. Filming will take place on Oct. 12 in Kennebunkport, Maine. Pay is $500.

“Virtual Time”

Two actors, aged 18–50, are wanted for supporting roles in the sci-fi action feature “Virtual Time.” Additionally, production is hiring multiple crew positions, including a visual effects artist. Filming will take place in Los Angeles and San Diego with dates TBD. Pay is up to $7,000 for 10 days of work with the exact rate to be negotiated.

“Little Bird”

Join the cast of “Little Bird,” a short drama about a five-year-old autistic girl and her parents who struggle to navigate an unaccepting world with a neurodivergent child. Actors, aged 5–50, are wanted for various roles, including the starring roles of Alaia, Phoebe, and Taylor. Filming will take place in late October through early November in New York City. Pay is $100–$300 per day for up to four days of work.
