Now Casting: Background Roles in Marvel’s ‘Cloak & Dagger’ + More

Get ready to dress to impress for the roles in today’s casting roundup! “Cloak & Dagger,” a new Marvel TV series on Freeform, is looking for actors with vehicles for background roles as guests at an upscale event. There are also roles for Spanish-speaking actors in a short film, principal roles in a feature shooting this year in Dallas, and a low-budget TV series about a group of outsiders!

Marvel’s “Cloak & Dagger,” an upcoming series on Freeform about “two teenagers from very different backgrounds [who] find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love,” is seeking actors for background roles. Male and female talent, aged 18 and older, with luxury vehicles in good condition are sought to portray guests at an upscale event. Semi-formal or formal attire required. Casting is currently underway for the currently-titled “Divorce,” a short film that follows a liquor store manager as his life unravels following the divorce of one of his employees. Talent, aged 18–62, are sought for several lead and supporting roles in the film. Spanish fluency is required for several roles, including the lead roles of Felipe and Armano. “Divorce” shoots in Los Angeles, California. “The Scientist,” an upcoming feature film from BlueLight Pictures, is seeking talent for principal roles. Male and female actors, aged 30–59, are needed to portray several characters in the production, including the lead roles of Steve and Darlene Unger. There is also a role available for a young female actor, ages 5–10, to play Lily Unger, a “curious and trusting daughter, coping and trying to understand the sickness of her mother and attempting to keep her family bonded.” “The Scientist” shoots this year in Dallas, Texas. Join the cast of “Family First,” a spec pilot set in the 1960s about “a famous group of outsiders who come together to form the first real family they've ever known.” Male and female talent, aged 18–80, are sought to play several lead and supporting roles in the production.
