Now Casting: Background in Upcoming Ed Helms and Jeremy Renner Film ‘Tag’ + More

Catch a major opportunity in today’s casting roundup! The upcoming feature film “Tag,” starring Ed Helms and Jeremy Renner, is seeking actors for background roles. There are also opportunities to play Ariel and more in a North Hollywood production of Disney's “The Little Mermaid,” plus a variety of roles in two other films!

“TAG”

Join the upcoming feature film “Tag,” starring Helms and Renner, about “a small group of former classmates [who] organize an elaborate, annual game of tag that requires some to travel all over the country." Clean-cut and experienced male and female talent aged 18–49 are needed to portray busboys and servers in background roles. There are also background roles available for male and female talent aged 18–60 as hairstylists. Actors must have professional salon experience and their own hairdressing tools. “HUNTED BY MY EX”

“Hunted by My Ex,” an upcoming feature film, is currently seeking background talent. Male and female actors aged 16–70 are needed to fill several roles and portray a variety of characters, including high school students, prison guards, and coroners. The production shoots July 28–Aug. 13 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Roles correspond to specific shooting dates. Minimum wage pay will be provided. Apply here!

DISNEY’S “THE LITTLE MERMAID”

Be where the people are and join the cast of an upcoming North Hollywood production of “The Little Mermaid.” Male and female talent aged 18 and older are sought to play several lead, supporting, and ensemble roles, including the lead role of Ariel. There is an open casting call on Aug. 1 and 2 in North Hollywood. The production will rehearse Aug. 14–Sept. 21 and run Sept. 22–Nov. 4 at the Cupcake Theater. Pay is $500 for the run. Apply here!

“SUBURBAN SEPULCHRE”

Casting is currently underway for “Suburban Sepulchre,” a short film that will tell the story of “a young Filipino American [who] returns to his New Jersey hometown for a reunion to accept his grandfather's and father's heirloom in order to close a sorrowful chapter and perhaps start another uncertain one.” Male and female talent aged 18 and older are sought to fill several principal roles. Ability to speak Tagalog or Visayan, as well as music and/or martial arts backgrounds are a plus for certain roles. There will be an audition by appointment Aug. 4 in NYC. Shooting begins Sept. 15 in Ridgewood, New Jersey. Pay is $125 per day deferred (SAG Short Film Agreement). Apply here!
