In today’s casting roundup, “The Mandarin Show,” a late night talk show in both English and Mandarin, needs a bilingual lead to interact with the host. Plus, spread Christmas cheer in a national tour of “Elf the Musical,” be a body double in Showtime’s “Billions,” or play a lead role in a student film!

Casting is now underway for “The Mandarin Show,” a late night talk show in both English and Mandarin. A male or female actor, aged 25–60, is wanted to play the lead role of Confucius D, the contender to the shows host, Andy Peeke. Talent must have comedy experience with both scripted and non-scripted material, and be fluent in both Mandarin and English. The show shoots Sept. 27–29 in NYC. Spread Christmas cheer by singing loud for all to hear in “Elf the Musical.” A female actor, aged 25–45, is wanted to play the supporting role of Deb, and a young male actor, aged 11–14, is wanted to play the lead role of Michael. There is also an ensemble role for male singing talent, aged 25–45, for a character actor with smart comic timing, strong singing ability, and good movement to cover multiple roles throughout the show. There is an audition by appointment on Sept. 15 in NYC. Rehearsals begin in NYC around Oct. 9. Previews begin around Nov. 17, and the show closes Dec. 31. Pay is $900–$1,100 per week. Apply here!

Showtime’s hit series “Billions” is currently seeking a male actor, aged 21–65, for a body double in its third season. Talent will be the body double for a fully nude Caucasian male and must be comfortable being nude on camera and swimming in a pool. Talent should be 5’9”–5’11” and have no tattoos. A female actor and a male actor, both aged 18–30, are wanted to play a lead role and a supporting role. There is an audition by appointment on Sept. 15 in West Hollywood, California.
