“Luxor”
ARZ Pictures is casting “Luxor,” a 10-minute dark comedy-thriller short film. Actors, aged 7–85, are wanted for several roles in the project, including the lead two roles. Talent will rehearse this fall, followed by filming in late November in Los Angeles. Pay is $250–$300 per day (or $1,500–$3,000 flat for seasoned/high-profile talent) for up to three days of work. Meals, copy, credit, and festival submissions will be provided.

“Der Sohn”
Horizon Theatre Rep is currently seeking a female actor and a male actor, both aged 18–27, for the lead roles in “Der Sohn,” a short film centered on a conflict between generations and a rejection of a corrupted world. Filming will take place in Brooklyn, NYC, with dates TBD. Pay is $500 for three days of work.

Edgar Allan Poe’s “His Life, Loves and Tales of Terror”
Castle Shakespeare Repertory is seeking talent for a stage play centered on Edgar Allan Poe and the characters from his stories and poems, including “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Pit and the Pendulum,” and more. Tri-State area actors, aged 18–50, are wanted to play Poe, as well as other principal roles, including his mother, Eliza. There will be open casting calls at Pax Amicus Castle Theatre in Budd Lake, New Jersey, on Sept. 8–10. Rehearsal and performance dates are TBD. Pay is $500 for the rehearsal period, $85 per performance, and $200 in travel expenses.
