Create your next big role with a paperclip, some string, and a little extra help from today’s casting roundup! The CBS series “MacGyver” is continuing to cast background roles— this time, auction attendees. Plus, a production of “Next to Normal” is casting its leads and you can play the King in a staged reading of “Elvis: The Musical.”

“MACGYVER”
The CBS series “MacGyver” is seeking more actors for background roles. Talent, aged 10–59, is wanted to play auction attendees. Filming will take place on Jan. 9 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $80 for eight hours of work. Apply here!

“NEXT TO NORMAL”
P3 Theatre Company is casting its production of the award-winning musical “Next to Normal.” Talent, aged 16–45, is wanted for all major roles in the show including Diana, Dan, Gabe, and Natalie. There will be auditions by appointment on Jan. 17 and 18 in Long Beach, California. Rehearsals will run Feb. 24–March 2 at the Ernest Borgnine Theatre with the show opening March 27 and closing April 11. There will be both a rehearsal and performance stipend for non-Equity performers and pay under an SPT I Transitional AEA Contract for union members. Apply here!

“ELVIS: THE MUSICAL” STAGED READING
West Virginia Public Theatre is looking for talent for a staged reading of “Elvis: The Musical.” Talent, aged 18–49, is wanted for several roles in the project including both a young and adult-aged Elvis. Rehearsals will take place from Jan. 18–24 with performances on Jan. 25–26 in Morgantown, West Virginia. Pay is $100–$200 per week for nonunion actors and $325 per week for union actors with housing and transportation provided. Apply here!
