Start your week off right with today’s top gigs! “Americatronic!,” a feature comedy-horror film about a small-town girl whose big-city dreams come true until the pressure gets the best of her, is casting various roles, including leads. Plus, ongoing work for a kid-friendly YouTube production company, a feature drama-thriller, and a romance dramedy are casting today!

“Americatronic!”

Casting is underway for “Americatronic!,” a feature comedy-horror film about a small-town girl from the country who moves to New York City with dreams of becoming an actor and falls in love with a director and gets everything she ever wanted... that is until she cracks under pressure and spirals out of control, murdering her roommate and fleeing as she spills blood across America, becoming the true-crime story of the century. Actors, aged 5 and older, are wanted for various roles in the film, including two leads. Filming will take place in the NYC area, with dates TBD. Pay is $100–$200 per day for up to 15 days of work for all roles except the background roles, which are unpaid. Meals and some transportation will be provided for all.

“Ryan’s World”

Sunlight Entertainment is seeking Texas-based actors, aged 5–60, to create kid-friendly content across multiple YouTube channels for Ryan’s World, a YouTube production company. Talent will work in Houston. Pay is $200–$300 per day for an estimated 56 days of work total.

“Last Call for Redemption”

Join the cast of “Last Call for Redemption,” a feature drama-thriller following an 82-year-old recluse in the San Bernardino Mountains who one evening is visited by a mysterious stranger who shows up to confront him about a deep, dark secret from his past. Los Angeles-based actors, aged 8–69, are wanted for various roles. Filming will take place in September and October. Pay is $150–$241 per day for up to four days of work, with meals provided.

“Dangling Carrot”

Join the cast of “Dangling Carrot,” a dramedy about an unemployed millennial looking for love in all the wrong places who gets caught between two men, one closeted and one openly gay. NYC-based talent, aged 18–60, is wanted for various roles. Multiple roles will require nudity. Rehearsals will take place over Zoom, followed by filming in NYC in late September through mid-October. Pay is $200–$800 for two days of work.
