Now Casting: CW’s Superhero Series ‘Black Lightning’ Needs Protestors + More

In today’s casting roundup, the CW has a new superhero series and it's currently seeking actors in Atlanta. “Black Lightning,” starring Cress Williams as a retired superhero who becomes a vigilante for justice, needs people to play protesters, victims, and more. There are also roles available on a bathroom product commercial, a cable network crime show, and the upcoming “Night School,” starring Kevin Hart!

Join the cast of CW’s upcoming superhero series “Black Lightning,” based on the character from DC Comics. The show is currently seeking male talent, aged 18–32, to portray college protestors, as well as a blonde or brunette female actor, aged 18–25, to portray a victim. There is also a role available for a young African-American female actor, aged 5–8, to portray the younger version of a principal role (talent must be able to ride a bike). “Black Lightning” will shoot between Nov. 7–15 in Atlanta, Georgia. Casting is currently underway for a DRTV commercial for a new bath product. Two female actors, aged 30–40, are wanted to play the lead roles of Marcy and Linda. The spot will shoot in November in New Jersey. Talent must be able to self-report. Pay is $300–$400 per day, depending on the role. Apply here!

“Night School,” the upcoming feature comedy starring Kevin Hart about “a group of troublemakers who are forced to attend night school in hopes that they’ll pass the GED exam to finish high school,” is currently seeking background talent. Male and female actors, aged 20–60, are wanted to portray wrestling match attendees in a flashback scene set in 2001. The production will shoot Nov. 2–3 in Atlanta, Georgia. A cable network crime show is currently seeking male and female talent, aged 20–55, to play multiple supporting roles. All roles have specific height, build, and/or additional physical attribute requirements. The production will shoot Nov. 5–8 in Miami, Florida. Pay is $150 per day. Apply here!
