“MULAN”
Casting is underway for Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of “Mulan,” including the titular warrior. The film, about “a young Chinese maiden [who] disguises herself as a warrior in order to save her father,” will hold a casting call for both union and nonunion actors. Shooting for the film is slated for April–October 2017 in China, and will provide travel and accommodation.
“HANGMAN”
Talent is sought for several background roles in “Hangman,” a feature film starring Al Pacino, Karl Urban, and Brittany Snow. Seeking male and female talent to portray parts ranging from police officers to waitstaff, the gig will start shooting Nov. 13 in Atlanta, Georgia.
“DARK ATTACHMENT”
Two lead and five supporting roles are needed for “Dark Attachment,” an upcoming feature depicting a “family [who] will find out that things that lurk in the night may just want to kill you.” Shooting dates and locations are to be determined.
“WRITTEN ON MY BODY”
Short film “Written on My Body” seeks talent for a leading and three supporting roles. The piece, about stigmas faced by women, “follows a sexual assault victim’s journey of struggle and embracement after the incident.” The gig will shoot Nov. 11 and 12 in New York City and will pay $100.
