Now Casting: ‘The Fear of Looking Up’ and More

Hoping to add some credits to your acting résumé? In today’s Backstage casting notices, you have a chance to star in detective-themed thriller, “The Fear of Looking Up.” We also have three more jobs that are, yes, just as thrilling. Check them out below!

Melancholy Star productions is currently casting several roles for the upcoming fantasy thriller, “The Fear of Looking Up.” The project, which is described as an “LGBT, cosmic horror indie film,” is slated to shoot this September in Wisconsin.

Universal Studios Japan is casting performers for its many shows and attractions, including “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter” and "Universal Monsters Live Rock and Roll Show.” Auditions will be held throughout August in Orlando, Florida; Chicago, Illinois; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Atlanta, Georgia.

Casting is underway for “Slo Light,” an upcoming revenge thriller. The feature film, “built around the music of Neil Davidge of Massive Attack,” plans to shoot this fall in New York City as well as in upstate New York.

Los Angeles-based actors, this one’s for you! Telsey + Co is currently casting several recurring guest roles for the upcoming series, “This is Us.” Actors will be needed for production from approximately July 29–Aug. 9 in Los Angeles. The drama, from NBC and 20th Century Fox, will air this September on NBC.
