Stoop Films & Production is casting actors for “This Joke’s On You,” a bold, heartwarming, and hilarious romantic comedy that explores modern relationships, social media fame, and the consequences of turning love into content as a rising stand-up comic, Tammi Carter, roasts her boyfriend in a viral bit that causes her career to skyrocket but their relationship to unravel. New York City-based actors, aged 12–75, are wanted for several lead and supporting roles in the film, including Tammi. Strong comedic timing, including a stand-up or improv background, is required for talent playing Tammi and multiple other roles. Production is also hiring multiple crew positions, including a sound operator and editor, and is also seeking content creators for digital hype and more. Talent will work on Oct. 13–24 in Brooklyn and Queens. Pay is $250 per day with meals, credit, and footage provided, plus future appearance rates TBD.

Join the cast of “Task Completed,” a dark comedy that unfolds in real-time over New Year’s Eve in a single apartment where Robert, a quiet maintenance worker, arrives to fix a sink but ends up in the middle of an emotionally volatile standoff between a queer couple. Three actors, aged 18–55, are wanted for the three principal roles. Filming is tentatively scheduled for between May 26 and June 6 (flexible dates) in Atlanta, Georgia.
