Now Casting: ‘Gossip Girl’ Needs Photo Doubles and Background Actors + 3 More Gigs

Start your week off right with today’s top gigs. The HBO Max reboot of “Gossip Girl” continues to cast talent for photo double and background roles. Plus, an Ethos life insurance commercial, a fitness tracker shoot, and a low-budget psychological thriller are casting now. 

“Gossip Girl”

Casting continues for the upcoming second season of the HBO Max reboot of “Gossip Girl.” A Black female actor, aged 30–55, is wanted to serve as a photo double for a principal actor. Talent must meet all physical requirements, including height, dress size, and hairstyle. Additionally, female talent, aged 18–28, is wanted to portray dates at a debutante ball in featured background roles. Fitting and filming dates are tentatively set for late March and mid-April, respectively. Filming will take place in New York City. SAG-AFTRA background rates apply for union talent; the rate for nonunion talent is TBD.

Ethos Commercial

Rickhouse Media is seeking talent for an Ethos life insurance commercial. A real couple or a pair of actors who can portray a couple, aged 50–60, are wanted for the shoot at this time. Filming will take place in Salt Lake City or Los Angeles, with dates TBD. Pay is $450 per day.

Fitness Tracking Sensor Co.

Athletic talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for a photo and video shoot for a startup fitness tracking sensor company. Filming will take place on April 13 in the L.A. area. Pay is $145–$190 with the opportunity for future projects.

“Clock”

Casting is underway for “Clock,” a low-budget psychological thriller about a woman on the eve of her 39th birthday who desperately attempts to fix her broken biological clock. Talent, aged 5–75, is now wanted to play party parents and kids, shoppers, and more in background and stand-in roles. Filming will take place between April 11 and May 6 in Austin, Texas. Pay is $120 for 10 hours of work for background talent and $150 for 12 hours of work for stand-in talent.
