Now Casting: ‘Hamilton’ on Broadway and More Jobs

In today’s Backstage casting notices, you have a chance to be in the room where it happens, on the stage where it’s happening. Yup, we’ve got a “Hamilton” opportunity below, as well as three other awesome gigs. Check them out!

“HAMILTON”
Perhaps you’ve heard of a little show called “Hamilton” (it’s getting great buzz!). The 2016 Tony Award winner for Best Musical is currently seeking ensemble dancers and offstage swings for the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned musical, soon celebrating its one year anniversary at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. An Equity chorus call will be held on July 28 in New York City.

AMAZON’S “RED OAKS”
Amazon coming-of-age comedy series “Red Oaks” is casting background talent to portray a variety of roles. Actors “must have period appropriate hair” for the gig, as the show is set in 1986. Fittings will take place July 18 in New York City, with production tentatively set for July 20.

“CHARLESTON”
LollyBelle productions seeks actors for lead and supporting roles in “Charleston,” an upcoming pilot about “six exceptional poli-sci grads [who] make a pact to change American politics forever.” Rehearsals will begin late September, with shooting slated for October in both Los Angeles and Boston.

M12TV
M12tv, along with Pramo Virk productions, seeks voiceover talent for an animated logo. The actor will “provide a few simple words" for the streaming mobile and TV channel. Recording will take place Aug. 20 in Los Angeles. Click the notice for more details!
