Take a trip to “Lovecraft Country” this Memorial Day. The upcoming HBO series executive produced by Jordan Peele is casting background actors to play activists and secret society members. Plus, a production of “The Joy Luck Club,” a hotel video feature, and a short film are casting major roles.

The upcoming HBO series “Lovecraft Country,” executive produced by Jordan Peele, is seeking talent for background roles. Actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted to portray black activists and white secret society members. Filming will take place on June 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $80 for eight hours of work. Sierra Madre Playhouse is casting its upcoming production of “The Joy Luck Club.” Asian actors, aged 24–62, are wanted for several principal and ensemble roles including the central character Jing-Mei Woo. There will be a preview on Aug. 23, followed by performances from Aug. 24–Oct. 5 in Sierra Madre, California. Pay is $25 per show plus a rehearsal stipend. Apply here!
