The upcoming Sony Pictures adaptation of “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” starring Zachary Levi, is now seeking skateboarders and dancing roller skaters for background roles. “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” Sony Pictures

Sony Pictures is casting its upcoming live-action adaptation of the classic book “Harold and the Purple Crayon,” starring Zachary Levi. Real skateboarders and dancing roller skaters, aged 18 and older, are wanted for background roles. The film will shoot in Atlanta, Georgia between January and March. Pay is TBD (undisclosed by the production).

Flower Retail Brand, Valentine’s Day Commercial

Filmkraft is seeking talent for a Valentine’s Day commercial for a flower retail brand. Two actors, aged 20–60, are wanted at this time. Talent will film remotely between Dec. 27–31. Pay is $1000–$1200 including a three-year buyout plus a pre-negotiated option buyout of an additional three-year buyout for another $1000.

“The Great War”

Casting is underway for “The Great War,” a Mainland Chinese historical movie about the Korean War. Three white male actors, aged 45–70, are wanted to play the roles of General Douglas McArthur, General Matthew Ridgeway, and President Harry Truman. Filming will take place in China over 16 months (done in two stints), dates TBD. Pay is $20,000–$50,000 with all transportation, airfare, accommodations, and meals during filming provided.

Social Media Video Campaign

Female talent with varying aesthetics and styles, aged 20–70, are wanted for a TikTok marketing campaign for a major retailer. Filming will take place in the Boston, Massachusetts, area on Jan. 5 or 6. Pay is $2000 with a travel stipend provided.
