Now Casting: Jack Black and Cate Blanchett’s ‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls,’ Is Seeking a Body Double + More

In today’s casting roundup, “The House With A Clock In Its Walls,” starring Jack Black and Cate Blanchett, is currently seeking a male child actor for a body double. Plus, there are background roles in the CW show “Black Lightning,” a supporting role in the upcoming feature “Perdido,” and background roles for the upcoming Netflix film “Nappily Ever After.”

Casting is currently underway for “The House With A Clock In Its Walls,” the story of Lewis Barnavelt, an orphan “who aids his magical uncle in locating a clock with the power to bring about the end of the world.” A young white male actor aged 9–11 is needed to be a body double. Talent should be 4’5”–4’9” and 68–75 lbs. The film will shoot Oct. 9–Dec. 15 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $140 per day. Apply here!

The CW show “Black Lightning,” based on the character from DC Comics, is currently casting. A black female actor, aged 18–25, and a black male actor, aged 21–28, are wanted for background roles. Casting is underway for “Perdido,” a feature film following “the story of young Latino man struggling to break free from the trafficking life to which he is indebted.” A female actor, aged 18–25, is needed to portray the supporting role of Gloria, “a single mother who will do whatever it takes to survive on the border and pursue her dream of being discovered as the next Gloria Trevi.” Talent must be Latina and speak fluent Spanish/ESL. “Nappily Ever After,” a Netflix film about Violet Jones, a woman with whose seemingly flawless life begins to unravel and reveal her true path after an accident at the hairdresser, is casting actors for background roles.
