Now Casting: Join the Broadway Cast of ‘Anastasia’ as an Understudy + 3 More Gigs

The Broadway musical “Anastasia” is now holding open casting calls for a male dancer and understudy for the role of Dmitri. Plus, HBO’s “The Deuce” is casting a photo double, a film parody in Washington, D.C. is casting leads, and a Warner Bros. Halloween event is hiring character actors.

Join the cast of the Broadway musical “Anastasia.” An Equity male dancer, aged 18 or older, and approximately 6’ tall is wanted to join the ensemble and understudy the role of Dmitri. Talent should be a fit dancer with strong ballet and jazz technique and partnering ability. A great bari-tenor or baritone singing voice is also required for the role. There will be an open casting call on Aug. 9. The run is ongoing in New York City. Pay is $2,034 per week. Apply here!

HBO’s “The Deuce,” starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, is now casting a photo double. A White male model, aged 30–45, who is 6’3”–6’5” tall, wears a 42–44L jacket, and a 34–36 pant is sought. Filming will take place on Aug. 9 in the NYC area. Casting is underway for “Love Factually,” a new improv, music, and parody work produced by Second City Theatricals in conjunction with The Kennedy Center. Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for multiple lead roles in the production, including a handsome bad guy type, and elderly man, and more. There will be auditions by appointment from Aug. 7–10 in Washington, D.C. Rehearsals begin in mid-November and performances will run from Dec. 4–31 in D.C. Pay is TBD. Apply here!

Join the cast of the upcoming Warner Bros. Halloween event “Horror Made Here: A Festival of Frights,” an immersive Halloween Event on the Warner Bros. backlot that includes mazes, live shows, and characters. Talent, aged 18–80, is wanted to play characters from well-known films and video games, such as “It,” “Arkham Asylum,” and The Conjuring.” There will be auditions by appointment on Aug. 11–12 in Los Angeles. Rehearsals will take place from Sept. 29–Oct. 2, followed by performances from Oct. 3–28 in Burbank, California. Pay is $12 per hour. Apply here!
