An upcoming production of “Matilda the Musical” is seeking actors to play several principal roles, including Miss Trunchbull, the Wormwoods, and Miss Honey. Plus, feature-length films and an indie comedy sketch pilot are casting actors nationwide.

John Engeman Theater is casting its upcoming production of “Matilda the Musical.” Nonunion and union actors, aged 18–50, is wanted for several principal and ensemble roles, including Miss Trunchbull, the Wormwoods, and Miss Honey. Rehearsals will begin on Oct. 28 and the show runs from Nov. 14–Dec. 29 in Northport, New York. Pay is $457 per week for union actors and $300 per week plus transportation for nonunion actors. Join the cast of a feature-length re-imagining of George Melies’ “Trip to the Moon.” Male actors, aged 18–65, are wanted for several supporting roles. Filming will take place from Oct. 5–25 in Deer Park, New York. Additional scenes will be filmed in May 2020. Pay is $50–$150 per day, depending on the role, with travel reimbursement for all. A female actor, aged 23–27, is wanted to play the role of Olivia, a repressed lesbian. Filming will take place in L.A. on dates TBD.
