“THE LION KING,” B’WAY/RAFIKI TOUR
The hit long-running musical “The Lion King,” written by Elton John and Tim Rice, is currently seeking singers and dancers for possible replacements in the Broadway and Rafiki National Tour companies. Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted for the roles. Dancers must have a strong modern and ballet dance background. There will be Equity Chorus Calls on Aug. 24, 27, and 28 in New York City. “JACK AND THE BEANSTALK,” TOUR
Join an educational touring theater production of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” A female actor, aged 21–30, is wanted to play the double role of the Hen and Bean Seller. Talent must be 5’2”–5’5” and weigh 110–120 pounds. There is also a supporting role available for a female actor of the same age. Rehearsals begin on Sept. 6 in Kenner, Louisiana, and the tour runs from Sept. 17–Dec. 8 in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. Casting is underway for “Grade A,” a feature film that follows an unstable health inspector who tries to follow his dream of becoming a chef but must find a local restaurant to sponsor him in a cooking competition.
