Avengers, assemble! The spectacular touring stunt show “Marvel Universe LIVE!” is looking for aerialists, performers, martial artists, acrobats, gymnasts, and more for new performances. Plus, a found-footage psychological thriller is casting supporting and background roles, a modern-day Jane Austen story is filming in New York City, and a serial crime podcast needs voice actors.
“MARVEL UNIVERSE LIVE!,” TOURING SHOW
Casting is now underway for performers for “Marvel Universe LIVE!,” a touring show featuring dozens of the famed Marvel superheroes and supervillains. Athletic performers, martial artists, gymnasts, acrobats, aerialists, and more, aged 18–40, are wanted for the tour. There will be open casting calls on select dates from April 14–May 3 in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Illinois, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Longwood, Florida. Talent will be performing eight to 12 shows per week beginning in mid-July. Replacements and entire tour contracts are being cast. “BORIS & JOHAN” (ROUND 2 AUDITIONS)
Second-round auditions are being held for “Boris & Johan,” a found-footage psychological thriller exploring “the vague line between a journalist dissociating themselves from their story and the objective moral obligations towards a subject in immediate danger, pain, or distress.” Talent, aged 18–65, is wanted to play multiple supporting and background roles and day players, including Sander, the man Boris and Johan are following. “EMMA”
“Emma,” an indie feature of the classic by Jane Austen set in present-day NYC, is casting principal roles. A female actor, aged 25–30, is wanted to play the lead role of Emma Woodhouse, a self-proclaimed expert matchmaker but with none of the maturity needed to be one. There are also supporting roles available for talent, aged 30–45. “Emma” rehearses and films this summer in NYC. Pay is $100 per day, with meals provided. Apply here!
UNTITLED SCRIPTED CRIME SERIES
Casting is underway for a currently-untitled six-part scripted mystery podcast series in the vein of “True Detective” and “The Killing.” A female actor, aged 40–60, is sought to voice the lead role of Colleen Clayton. There are also multiple supporting roles for talent, aged 20–60. The series will record in early May in L.A. Pay is approximately $100 per half day and $200 per full day of recording. Apply here!
