“ALMOST FAMOUS” – STANDBY, SINGERS, AND DANCERS
The musical adaptation of the classic musical movie “Almost Famous” is holding auditions. A male actor, aged 18 or older, is wanted to play the standby for the role of William. Additionally, the production is seeking singers and dancers, aged 18 and older, for ensemble roles. There will be Equity Principal auditions and chorus calls on Feb. 11–14 in New York City. “FINDING YOUR SCENT”
Join the cast of “Finding Your Scent,” an ad for an online men’s fragrance company. A male actor, aged 25–36, is wanted for the lead in the commercial. Casting is underway for “Rough Translation,” a short film that follows a reserved Chinese-American college freshman who travels to Taipei, where he promptly loses his wallet and passport, making it impossible for him to return home. Three Asian actors, aged 18–29, are wanted to play the lead and supporting roles of Adam, Eva, and Christian. Mandarine language skills (basic to fluent) are required for each role. Rehearsals will take place from Feb. 10–23, followed by filming on Feb. 24–28 in Taiwan, China. Pay is $125 per day with a copy, meals, credit, travel, accommodations, and a stipend provided.
