In today’s casting roundup, a new HBO series is looking for background actors. Plus, an ABC News Studios documentary, a “Scream” fan film, and an action-comedy are casting today.


Grant Wilfley Casting is currently seeking talent for the HBO series “BOSS!” Talent, aged 18 and older, is wanted to portray clubgoers in background roles. Filming will take place on Dec. 6 in New York City. Pay is $165–$210 for 10 hours of work, depending on SAG-AFTRA status.

“Truth and Lies,” ABC News Studios Documentary

ABC News Studios is seeking talent for “Truth and Lies,” a two-hour network documentary special of five portraits of mysteriously interconnected women. Actors, aged 18–70, are wanted for leads and supporting roles. Filming will take place in the Tri-State area in December. Pay is $136–$836 for two days of work.

“Scream: Reborn,” Fan Film

Join the cast of “Scream: Reborn,” a feature fan film following five former classmates in 1989 who attempt to reunite when they’re hunted down by Ghostface. Actors, aged 18–60, are wanted for various roles in the film, including the voice role of Ghostface. Additionally, production is hiring multiple crew positions, including a director, composer, costume designer, and more. Filming will begin in Fall 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia. The exact pay rate is TBD but up to $350 per week.

“El Rogue”

Casting is underway for “El Rogue,” a feature action-comedy about two rogue ex-army veterans who take down a corrupt U.S. government official heavily involved in the cartel drug trade. Actors, aged 21–65, are wanted for supporting and background roles, including the role of Maria, the lead's lover. Filming will take place in February 2024 in and around Miami, Florida, and Los Angeles. Pay is $135–$300 per day for up to five days of work.
