“History of Sound”

Casting has begun for “History of Sound,” a feature film starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor that follows two young men during World War I who set out to record the lives, voices, and music of their American countrymen. Black actors, aged 18–45, are wanted to portray impoverished community members being evicted from their homes in background roles. Fittings will be held on March 8, followed by filming between March 12 and 14 in Wawayanda State Park in New Jersey. Pay is $208 for eight hours of work.

“Thunder & Ash”

Atomic Productions is seeking talent for “Thunder & Ash,” a neo-Western crime drama set in small-town Texas. Actors, aged 16–75, are wanted for supporting roles. Rehearsals will take place this spring, followed by filming over three weeks in summer in Austin, Texas. Pay is undisclosed by the production with travel (Texas and Oklahoma talent) and meals provided.
