Now Casting: Play Ariel, Ursula, and More in Fireside Theatre’s ‘The Little Mermaid’ + 3 More Gigs

Go where the seaweed is always greener by swimming after the gigs in today’s roundup! The Fireside Theatre is now casting principal roles, including Ariel, Ursula, and more in its summer production of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” Plus, a short film about a pair of FBI agents learning a valuable lesson is filling several roles, NBC’s “Chicago Fire” needs an FBI agent of its own, and a few female actors who aren’t afraid of going to great heights are wanted for a spy movie.

The Fireside Theatre is now casting non-Equity talent for principal roles in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid.” Actors, aged 18 and older, are wanted for several roles in the production, including Ariel, Prince Eric, Ursula, and more. There will be an open casting call in New York City on March 13. Rehearsals will begin July 2, and the show will run July 19–Sept. 2 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. Casting is currently underway for “Do Not Duplicate,” a short film about two FBI agents who learn a lesson in patience and professionalism as they move up the agency ranks. A female actor, aged 25–40, is sought to play Nelsi Martinez, one of the two FBI field agents. There are also several supporting roles available for actors, aged 18–50. “Do Not Duplicate” rehearses in the spring and begins shooting in summer in NYC. NBC’s primetime drama “Chicago Fire” is currently seeking an actor, aged 20–49, to play an FBI agent in a background role. The production will shoot Feb. 16–28 in Chicago, Illinois. A possible meeting with the director and/or a wardrobe fitting may take place prior to the shoot date. Some pay will be provided. Apply here!

A spy feature film is seeking a few female actors, aged 18–39, to serve as stand-ins. All roles have specific physical attributes, and the three actors must not be afraid of heights. Shooting will take place Feb. 21–24 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $150 for 12 hours of work. Apply here!
