Now Casting: Play Elle Woods (and More) in a ‘Legally Blonde’ Tour + 3 Other Gigs

Today’s casting roundup will give you endorphins. “Legally Blonde,” the musical based on the film of the same name, is currently casting all major roles for a non-union tour through China this winter! There are also opportunities for background roles on NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” ABC’s “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World,” and a Norwegian Cruise Line production of the Tony-nominated musical “Swing!”

“LEGALLY BLONDE”
A non-union tour of “Legally Blonde,” the musical based on the film of the same name, is currently casting principal roles. Male and female talent aged 21–55 are sought to play singing roles, including the lead role of Elle Woods. Actors in most roles must be comfortable handling dogs. Rehearsals begin Sept. 5 in NYC with the first preview in the NYC area on Oct. 1. The tour runs Dec. 14–Feb. 6 throughout China (opening night in Shanghai). Pay is $400–750 per week, depending on the role, with per diem, housing, travel, and an additional holding fee. Apply here!

“CHICAGO FIRE”
Join the upcoming season of NBC’s “Chicago Fire” in a background role. The primetime drama, which tells the story of Chicago firefighters on a personal and professional level, is looking for real firefighters aged 18 and older to play background roles in its sixth season. The production shoots Aug. 7 in Chicago, IL. Pay is $185 per eight hours. Apply here!

“SWING!” NORWEGIAN CRUISE LINE
Join “Swing!”, the Tony-nominated musical celebrating the swing era of Jazz, on board Norwegian Cruise Lines. Male and female talent aged 18–40 are sought to fill four lead roles. There are also ensemble positions for male and female talent aged 18–40 as dancers. Strong technique and solid training in all styles is required. Established partnerships and/or experience in partnering is a plus. There is an open casting call on Aug. 7 in NYC. Rehearsals begin Sept. 26 in Tampa, FL and travel runs Nov. 11 through May 19, 2018. Pay is $750 per week minimum for dancers and $1000 per week minimum for singers. Apply here!

“KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD”
ABC’s “Kevin (Probably) Saves the World,” an upcoming series about “a down-on-his-luck man...tasked by God with a mission to save the world,” is seeking background actors in Georgia. Male and female talent aged 18–60 are needed to portray store patrons. The production shoots July 31 in Briarcliff, GA. Pay is $68 per eight hours. Apply here!
