Now Casting: Play Gala Guests in Facebook Watch Series ‘Queen America’ + 3 More Gigs

Make your way to the throne and claim your crown with the great gigs in today’s roundup! “Queen America,” the Facebook Watch streaming series starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, is casting background actors to portray gala guests in Atlanta, Georgia. Plus, a new play about immigrant brothers is seeking its leads, a music video for an R&B-downtempo hip-hop track is casting its lead couple, and a major feature is casting its funnyman.

“QUEEN AMERICA”
Casting is now underway for “Queen America,” the Facebook Watch streaming series starring Catherine Zeta-Jones about Vicki Ellis, the most renowned and ruthless pageant coach in the state, and the hapless Samantha, who hopes Vicki can mold her into a worthwhile contender for Miss America. Talent, aged 30–59, is wanted to portray gala guests in background roles. The production will film on June 20 and/or Aug. 3 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $75 for eight hours of work. Apply here!

“THE BROTHERS KHAN, AN AMERICAN STORY”
Three roles are now being cast in the upcoming production of “The Brothers Khan, An American Story,” a new play by George Pfirrmann showcasing at the Broadway Bound Theatre Festival in New York City. Two male actors, aged 20–27, are wanted to play the lead roles of Rustam and Dzhabrail, Chechen immigrants. Accents and/or ability to learn Chechen phrases is required. There is also a supporting role for a female actor, aged 20–24. There will be auditions by appointment on June 25–26 in NYC. Rehearsals will take place from July 23–Aug. 13 with performances Aug. 15–Aug. 18. Pay is $1,000. Apply here!

“IF YOU LOVE ME”
“If You Love Me,” a music video for an R&B-downtempo hip-hop track, is seeking a female actor, aged 22–35, and a male actor, aged 24–35, to portray the lead couple. The video will shoot June 16–17 in NYC. Pay is $350 per day, plus meals provided. Apply here!

“BONDED”
“Bonded,” a feature film based on true events about illegal sweatshops in Los Angeles, is casting two major roles. A Latino male actor, aged 16–18, is wanted to play the lead role of Gordo, a funny and pudgy kid who works in the sweatshop. There is also a supporting role for an actor who is the same age as Carlito, a tall, skinny, and mean kid. “Bonded” will shoot from July 30–Sept. 15 in L.A. Actors will be paid under a SAG-AFTRA Modified Low Budget contract. Apply here!
