Now Casting: Play a Passenger or Flight Attendant On FX’s Emmy-Winning ‘Atlanta’ + 3 More Gigs

In today’s roundup, both new and ongoing roles alike are open for talent like you. FX’s hit series “Atlanta” is currently seeking talent to portray European plane passengers, as well as flight attendants. There are also roles on stage as a principal or ensemble member in an exciting new production of “Ragtime the Musical,” in a short film about a teen who needs an escape, and a student film about a young boy who finds and follows someone from his past.

The FX series “Atlanta,” starring Donald Glover and Brian Tyree Henry as two cousins with differing opinions on art versus commerce climbing the ladder of the Atlanta rap scene, is continuing its search for background actors. Male and female talent, aged 18–50, are wanted to portray European airline passengers at an international airport. There are also roles available for female actors, aged 18–39, with real flight attendant experience. The production will shoot Dec. 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. Pay is $64 for eight hours of work. Principal casting continues for “Mike’s Expedition,” a short film about 17-year-old Mike trying to escape society but failing miserably. A male actor, aged 16–28, is currently sought to play Mike, who just failed his driving test and is now fed up with the world. There are also several roles available for talent, aged 20–58, to play members of Mike’s family and more. The film will shoot in December in the Greater Los Angeles area. Now’s your chance to make them hear you. Casting has begun for a new production of “Ragtime the Musical,” reinvented by director-choreographer Luis Salgado. Male and female talent, aged 18–80, are wanted for principal and ensemble roles in the production, including Coalhouse Walker, Jr., Booker T. Washington, and more. There is an open casting call on Dec. 12 and 13 in NYC and Dec. 13 in Deal Park, New Jersey. Rehearsals will begin in NYC on Jan. 22 and the show will run March 3–26 at Axelrod Performing Arts Center. Pay is TBD. Apply here!

Join the cast of “Father!”, a short student film about a young boy who sees his estranged father at a deli and follows him home. A young male actor, aged 9–15, is wanted to play the lead role of Zero. The role will involve fighting and sitting on a tree branch. There are also roles available for talent, aged 25–70, as well as for a young actor, aged 3–5 (role will require running around a forest and falling down). “Father!” will shoot Dec. 8–10 around Long Island, New York.
