Plus, a new play about humanity and A.I., a satirical short film, and a short child-led film noir comedy are casting actors now!

“After Christmas”

Two white actors, aged 40–85, are wanted to play Santa and Mrs. Claus in a video ad for mobility brand Hypershell, where Mrs. Claus films a TikTok-style “haul” video revealing the Christmas gift she bought for her husband: a Hypershell motorized exoskeleton designed to make Santa’s life easier next Christmas. Filming will take place on any date (except Dec. 24–25) until Dec. 30 in the Baltimore, Maryland, area. Pay is $800.

“To Persist in Error”

Mad as a Hatter Theatre Company is seeking talent for its production of “To Persist in Error,” a new play that follows a detective trying to piece together a death investigation, using an AI-operating system for assistance. Three New York City-based actors, aged 18–40, are wanted for principal roles in the production, which will run on Jan. 16 at The Rat NYC in Brooklyn. Pay is $300.

“Affluenza”

Hi-Wave Films is casting “Affluenza,” a satirical short film about the lengths rich people go to to get what they want. Actors, aged 18–65, are wanted for multiple roles in the film, including the lead role, a doctor to the rich who becomes conflicted about their place in the status quo when a spoiled rich kid needs an affidavit confirming he has “affluenza” (a rich person's disease). Rehearsals and filming will take place in April in Long Island, New York. Pay is $60–$350 for two days of work with food provided and travel reimbursement.

“All For The Cookie”

Join the cast of “All For The Cookie,” a short film noir comedy about an intrepid nine-year-old who launches an investigation when the last cookie goes missing. NYC-based talent, aged 6–55, is wanted to play the lead role of Ryan and his family members. Filming will take place in mid-spring or early fall in NYC and Long Island. Pay is $250–$275 per day for up to three days of work.
