Now Casting: Play Theatergoers on Netflix’s ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ + 3 More Gigs

Netflix’s hit series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is coming to an end, but you have the chance to grab a role on the second half of its final season! Plus, sing your heart out: an extended mini-series about youth chasing their dreams through music, a Florida-based musical, and a musician-centered photo shoot are all casting major roles.

“UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT”
Join the final season of the Netflix hit series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.” Nonunion talent, aged 50 and older, is wanted to portray theatergoers. Talent must be able to convincingly play characters who are 65 and older. The production shoots on June 19 and 20. Actors will only need to be available for one day. “LET THE WORLD HEAR (RANG SHI JIE DOU TING JIAN)”
Casting is currently underway for “Let the World Hear (Rang Shi Jie Dou Ting Jian),” a 50-episode, extended mini-series for national broadcast on China’s Hunan Satellite Station about youth chasing their dreams through music. A young male actor, aged 14–19, with blond hair and blue eyes is wanted to portray Kris, a French student at the Paris Music Academy. There is also a role for a female actor, aged 16–21, to play the role of Natasha, a Russian exchange student. Talent must be able to play the piano. The series will shoot for 150 days in the fall in Paris, France, and China. Pay is $500 per day of filming, with travel, hotel, and meals provided. Apply here!

“LIFE COULD BE A DREAM”
Equity and non-Equity actor-singers are currently wanted for principal roles in “Life Could Be A Dream.” Talent, aged 20–30, is wanted for five lead roles in the production. There will be an open casting call on June 16 in Orlando, Florida. Rehearsals begin on July 1 and the show runs from July 22–Sept. 6 at The Studio Theatre at Tierra del Sol in The Villages, Florida. MUSICIAN’S FRIEND PHOTO SHOOT
A female vocalist, aged 20–30, with musical knowledge and experience is wanted for a Guitar Center–Musician’s Friend photo shoot. Vocals will not be recorded during the shoot, which will take place on June 26 or 27 in Los Angeles. Pay is $200 for the day. Apply here!
