Casting is underway for the second season of the Amazon psychological thriller series “We Were Liars.” U.S. and Canada-based female actors, aged 18 or older, are sought to play the 18-year-old versions of Carrie (played in the present day by Mamie Gummer), Penny (Caitlin FitzGerald), and Bess (Candice King) in one-season series regular roles. Talent will work in Halifax, Nova Scotia, from June 15 to Oct. 2. Pay is $10,000–$70,000 under a SAG-AFTRA contract with the exact rate TBD.

“The Ampleseed Stage”
Join the cast of the pilot for “The Ampleseed Stage,” a 30-minute comedy web series set in a small, fictional town in Pennsylvania where a young woman has escaped her mafia family to be part of its quirky theatre: the titular Ampleseed Stage. Actors, aged 20–29, are wanted for lead and supporting roles in the project, which will rehearse in March in the L.A. area and tentatively film on March 13–15, 27–29, and April 24–26. Pay is $100–$175 per day.

“Brighter Crimson”
Moss Garden Productions is seeking union or nonunion talent for “Brighter Crimson,” an unconventional horror-drama film revolving around the history of cult cinema and cinephilia. A female actor, age 18–40, is wanted to star as Lilith, a low-budget horror movie actor. Full nudity, simulated sex scenes, and blood/gore scenes will be required; there will be an intimacy coordinator available on set. Filming is scheduled for Spring and Fall 2027 in and around Nashville, Tennessee, and Winter 2027 in Tokyo, Japan. Pay is a negotiable $5,000 for 10 days of work with travel, lodging, and food provided.
