Now Casting: Roles Available in 1970s-Set Horror-Thriller ‘High Desert Hell’ + 2 More Gigs

In today’s roundup, “High Desert Hell,” a 1970s-set horror-thriller, is looking for young adult actors for lead and supporting roles, including the film’s stereotypical alpha male lead. There are also roles for puppeteers in the kids’ educational film “The Magic Yarmulka,” plus the Investigation Discovery series “Evil Lives Here” is seeking talent for reenactment roles.

“HIGH DESERT HELL”
Join “High Desert Hell,” a horror-thriller set in the 1970s centered around a group of young adults who venture to a remote location in the high desert of California and are mysteriously preyed upon. Talent, aged 20–30, is wanted to play several lead and supporting roles in the film, including Grant, the prototypical alpha male, and Jessie, a shy and reserved girl dating Grant. There is also a role available for a male actor, aged 70 or older. “High Desert Hell” will rehearse in February near Los Angeles, California, and will shoot in March near Brawley, California. “THE MAGIC YARMULKA”
“The Magic Yarmulka,” a kids' educational puppet film, is currently casting skilled puppeteers, aged 18 and older. Roles will include puppeteering with hand and rod puppets in sync with pre-recorded audio tracks, and talent will be working with one to four additional puppeteers. Puppets will be provided. Production will take place in or around Lakewood, New Jersey, dates TBD. Pay is $300 per day, negotiable. Apply here!

“EVIL LIVES HERE,” 310 (V2)
Version two of episode 310 of “Evil Lives Here,” a true crime re-creation show on Investigation Discovery, is now casting. Male and female talent, aged 6–55, with specific physical attributes are wanted to play several lead and supporting roles in the episode. Production will take place the week of Jan. 8 over four days in the New York City and New Jersey area. Pay is $154 per day or $55 per half day, depending on the role. Apply here!
