In today’s casting roundup, two short films, including “He, The People,” the true tale of an unsung American hero haunted by his own heroism, are casting a large variety of roles. Plus, Living Spaces and Chase Bank are seeking talent for commercials. 

Giant Island Films is casting the short film “He, The People,” the true tale of an unsung American hero haunted by his own heroism. Talent, aged 6 and older, is wanted for several roles in the production, including the lead role of Shannon Moore and background roles for actors portraying Nixon protestors. Filming will take place in late August and early September in New York City. Pay is $125 per day. Apply here!

Living Spaces is seeking talent, aged 5–40, for an upcoming Labor Day commercial. Filming will take place on July 25 in La Mirada, California. Pay is $500 for the day with meals provided. Apply here!

Eight actors, aged 40–65, are wanted for a Chase Bank digital commercial in which they will play test takers. Talent must be available for a meeting with the client between Aug. 26 and 30, and the video will be shot on Sept. 5 in NYC. Join the cast of “Anna in the Sand,” a short film that follows a middle-aged woman in her daily routine of swimming in the ocean and her gradual decline into dementia. A male actor, aged 50–75, is wanted to play the supporting role of Dan, Anna’s boyfriend. There will be rehearsals in the week or two prior to filming, which will take place on Aug. 4–6 in Rye, New Hampshire. Pay is $600 with travel, lodging, and meals provided. Apply here!
