Background casting continues for Season 2 of the HBO period drama “The Gilded Age.” Plus, a short drama, a tech commercial, and a road trip comedy directed by Ethan Coen are casting now.

“The Gilded Age” Season 2, Troy, NY

Grant Wilfley Casting is continuing to search for talent for Season 2 of the HBO period drama “The Gilded Age.” Troy or Albany-based white talent, aged 18 and older, are wanted for general working and middle-class background roles. Filming will take place in the Downtown Troy/Albany, New York, area. Pay is $165 for 10 hours of work, plus a fitting fee and a $60 COVID-19 testing fee.

Damian Bao Casting is seeking talent for “Hearsay,” a short film set in a suburban Chinese beauty salon that follows Lili, an outgoing and talkative hairdresser. Talent, aged 2–70, is wanted for various roles, including the starring role of Lilli. Multiple roles, including the protagonist, require Mandarin fluency. Callbacks will be held on Aug. 20–22 in New York City or on Zoom with fitting dates to follow on Sept. 1–3. Filming will take place on Sept. 3–6. Pay is $137–$216 per day for up to three days of work.

“A Better Experience”

Join “A Better Experience,” a commercial that showcases the positive impacts of technology and remote telecommunications. Talent, aged 18–55, is wanted to portray teachers, gallery visitors, and more in both lead and background roles. Filming will take place in the Los Angeles area between Aug. 17–23. Pay is $150–$400 for 12 hours of work.

Untitled Road Trip Comedy, Local Principal Roles

Talent, aged 18–90, is wanted for day player, photo double, and background roles in an untitled road trip comedy film directed by Ethan Coen shooting in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area. Two of the body double roles require full nudity. Talent will work in Pittsburg with dates TBD. Pay is undisclosed by the production.
